Question / Help Audio 7-8 seconds behind video

I am new the OBS family and am having an issue where my audio is significantly delayed when watching my recording. I am using a Sony SRG-120 IP camera to stream through a Roland VR1-HD mixer board. l my audio is sent to the Roland as well, that stream is then sent to my Windows PC via a USB 3 Type A to USB 3 Type B. At this time I am only recording no live streaming. I will try to get a sample of the video and upload. This seems like more than just a delay setting in OBS. I have read that disabling timestamps on my audio source can help with this but my audio is derived from my video capture device which is the Roland board.

How do you stream your IP-camera to the VR1?
An ip-camera doesn't have an HDMI-output - does it?
Have you tried an external monitor on your roland directly? it has an HDMI-out for main and monitor, there you can try the audio as well :-)

My IP camera does have HDMI out to the Roland. The IP portion is only used for joy stick control and administration.
I do have an external monitor with speakers I will try that and see what happens. Thanks.

If the delay is consistent you can correct for it by adding a sync offset in Edit > Advanced Audio Properties

Thanks for the idea, i agree that a small delay (milliseconds up to maybe a second) would be permissible but this is 5-8 seconds of delay. I feel that there is something else happening here.

Update to original post as well:

I swapped out the PC and tried this on different hardware. new PC was i7 3.6 GHz and 32GB RAM, way overkill for this recording, but withing 2 minutes the audio became out of sync with the video. My next course of action is to send the audio via USB from the board to the PC and set up an audio capture device and have the video send to the PC via the Roland Mixer.

So I'm assuming that the output of the Roland is in sync, but in OBS it is drifting out of sync over time?

Is "use device timestamps" on the Roland as a capture device on or off?

From what I have seen use device timestamps only appears if you are using an audio capture devices. I am doing a Video capture and I have not see that setting. I have see other posts about unchecking that box but i have not found that as an option.

Can the Roland be added as a video source without audio, and then added separately as an audio source?

Just trying to figure out a workaround and I don't have access to this hardware currently.
