Question / Help Audi / Video asynchron after dropping frames due to bandwidth problems

Hi
I recently made a livestream from a event and unfortunately the bandwidth wasn't stable during the event. OK, so I degraded the quality from originally 6500 kbps to 3500 kbps, but still I noticed that my audio went out of sync when obs had to drop frames. I am now wondering if that is a normal problem or if my capture card made a mess aswell. The measured bandwidth of the upload was more then 10'000 kbps before I started the stream. How can I avoid this async Problem if the upload is not absolutely stable? Audio and Video must stay in sync for me, cause I am streaming dance events...
Kind Regards
Oliver

I forgot to mention my setup:
i7 6800K @3.9ghz, gtx1060, intensity pro 4k, ATEM production studio 4k (all drivers up to date, also software from bmd and latest OBS)
Livestream: 1080p50, later degraded to 720p50
uplink via gigabit lan, speedtest gave me 10mbit upload - so I started with 6500kbit and degraded it after dropping frames to finally 3500kbit

CPU usage was low, never higher than 56%. The system seemed to run cool and flawless.
