Question / Help Audacity as a mic?

Hey, so I recently discovered a way to remove a lot of the background noise from my mic using Audacity, sadly OBS uses JUST my mic and it's not a recording so I can't edit it. Is there a way I can make my mic redirect through audacity than audacity to OBS? So that it filters the white noise in my mic.

Sorry, maybe im missing the knowledge of a function in audacity. but isnt audacity only able to work on saved files?
I mean its not a software to work on your microphone live in the background. IF I am missing something here, you might be able to reroute the Audio using VirtualAudioCable or something similar.
You also might want to check on the current test release for the Microphone Noise Gate, its not a noise removal of course, but it can deactivate the microphone as long as your not speaking.

It sounds like you want to look into getting a noise reduction VST Plugin. Go download VST Host and find a free Noise reduction VST Plugin and play around with it.
