atkAudio Plugin

atkAudio Plugin 0.31.13

The crashes on scene switching have returned for me on the latest update. Dunno if this is present for others.

Hey there atkAudio! Thanks for making some really useful and nifty plugins for OBS. I'm hoping to get a bit of help with diagnosing a few issues with the atkAudio DeviceIo audio filter in OBS. Some system details:
 • OBS Studio 32.0.4 (64bit) on Windows 11 Version 25H2
 • atkAudio plugins for OBS ([atkaudio-pluginforobs] plugin loaded successfully (version 0.31.9))
 • Behringer ASIO drivers for Windows version 5.72.0
The issue:
Meters show a very loud signal immediately after loading the plugin filter and selecting Behringer ASIO driver. However, when I listen top those channels, there is no sound there at all. It makes me wonder if maybe there is an ultrasonic feedback oscillation going on there?

In any case, I have a video that shows the process attached for review. I would be happy to help troubleshoot this if you have time to investigate.

We spent the whole day exploring your plugin and had a lot of fun with it! The rest of the atkAudio suite, especially atkAudioMixer, looks amazing, and we plan to purchase it soon. Thank you for all your hard work and efforts—it really shows!

Ok, so now I am seeing this new behavior - I noticed I was getting a weird bunch of signals into my mixer and when I opened the DeviceIo Audio Settings, every single Active output channel and Active input channel check box was checked:

I had only checked Active output channel "Out 1" and "Out 2", but for some reason it lost those single two checked options, and went to ALL checkboxes selected! I tried to replicate this behavior but it is intermittent. It has only happened 2 times and I wasn't able to correlate the steps I took to make it happen again. :(

Is there any data I can gather for you that you would need to diagnose this issue..?

Very cool plugin. Tinkering around with it now. Are there plans to release some user guide?
I've noticed for some reason my ASIO4ALL buffer size is locked in at 512--normally I can get down to 64 in DAW.
Any ideas how to troubleshoot? Thank you

Also i seem to get double inputs no matter what, even after disabling Local playback.
And turning off a MIDI output always crashes OBS.

Ok, I got the update installed- I'll keep an eye on it and see if the checkboxes stay properly selected.
So the "all boxes are checked" problem happened this morning:

Not sure what causes this to happen- I've not been able to correlate any action I take with the changes in the checkboxes. I'd be happy to gather information if you can tell me what you need me to do.

Hey! This is plugin is a lifesaver, thank you so much!

I am having one hitch using it I was hoping to get some help with. Once I have routed a single channel from my focusrite 2i2, I am only sending one channel to that mic source. I get that's because I'm only sending 1 input in, but I'm curious if there is a way to send that single input to both channels? Some of the other screenshots make me think my plugin is missing an "outputs" section, but I assumed that's just a limitation of the 2i2?

To convert this mono channel to stereo, I tried:
- add a +0 gain filter
- playing w/ the mono checkbox in advanced audio properties
but neither worked. Is there functionality in the plugin to do this?

I'm using pre-release 31.12 of the plugin, obs 32.0.4, and Win 11

Thanks so much for your help!

you could do it like this with DeviceIo2:

left side of the view is inputs
select your input channel from the tree list view (here [X] realtek input ch1)
in the routing matrix (below tree list view) assing the device channel (row: line in) to both OBS channels (Xs on 1 and 2)

Thanks for working on this! I'll download, update and test today
Ok, been on my main OBS instance for over 24 hours and still retaining the checkbox assignments- so far so good!

One thing I did notice (not sure if this is related to the problem or not) is that if you select the Open Device Settings button, it will open the DeviceIo Audio Settings requester and the button text changes to Close Device Settings .

Then if you click the Close Device Settings button, the DeviceIo Audio Settings requester closes. All of which is as expected and seems correct.

The issue happens if you use the red "X" in the corner of the DeviceIo Audio Settings requester to close the requester. If you do, the button stays named as Close Device Settings even though the device settings requester is closed.

If you click the Close Device Settings button, the text changes to Open Device Settings but nothing else seems to happen.

It seems like the act of selecting the red "X" in the corner should not only close the requester, but should also cause the button to switch back to Open Device Settings since it is no longer open.

The only reason I mention this is I was wondering if the sequence or process of closing out this requester plays a role in the saving of the checkbox status..?

midi should be fixed https://github.com/atkAudio/PluginForObsRelease/releases/tag/0.31.12
for most ASIO devices, buffer size here is display only. Use device driver control panel to change those settings.
