Assistance with sound not working

So I have a Pyle phrdcb48.5, Dell G5 5500 laptop, using OBS 27.0.1. I have used the Pyle in the past with some small issues that were easy to fix. However, I can get the video to play and record along with streaming but no sound in any of them. I've double checked to make sure that OBS isn't muted. I've went into the settings and changed around the audio settings but I can't get any sound to come through my laptop nor on any recordings. I was hoping maybe some people here have found some fixes for it.

I was having the same issue. I have a inexpensive ASUS ZENBOOK 14 inch. I watched a Youtube video that said for me to go to Advanced Settings and click in "Monitor off" for the headphones, I did that. It worked for about 20 minutes and then it stopped. This morning it worked for one video, but not for another video that I was trying to play through OBS; then my headphones stopped working for even the initial video that they were working for in the beginning. I then tried another headphone set and those didnt work either. Both headsets were wired , so I ordered 4 pairs of wireless headphones. Hopefully one of those will work.

So what I'm doing on my laptop, I'm trying to capture my N64 video. On my desktop it worked absolutely fine without no issues and even on my laptop when I first got it, it was great. Unfortunately, I thought it was my av to hdmi converter, it was actually my capture card. Not using it for a while and it just setting there, it died. Guess I'll get another one later on. Going for a different brand than Pyle. Might try some of these cheaper options since I'm not streaming but just recording. I know for a while on my laptop I had to disable the device and then reenable it to get the sound to come through before. You may want to try that and see if that helps you.
