ASIO plugin no channels in list.

It is in alpha and you may have to turn off Win Defender or other virus stuff temporarily but it works!

Hmm, I would love to know if this works for others... I should be able to look at this again tonight after work. If not does anyone have a link to how to downgrade OBS? Looks like the older version is still working. But I don't want to lose all my settings/plugins/Configs...

I installed and ended up with a crash in OBS every time I opened it. Ran old version of ASIO plugin and the crash stopped. I uninstalled the old version and crash stopped. Installed your alpha, and the crashing started again. I did install the bassasio fix to see if it helped (for me it half did). I guess I will watch out for next release?

to be sure it wasnt the bassasio fix I did a file comparison and deleted the files. I still get a crash with Alpha 4.0.2 (current version)

I take it back, after I removed the bassasio files the uninstaller left (the dll and a text file) and then restarted OBS I had no crash, then after I installed the new alpha, it works. However, I am not able to get the ASIO sound unless I add it as a VST filter. but at least for the one part I am working on that gets me moving forward. I can only add my amp plugins in the filter... what if I want to play sound from an app that is set to my audio interface (like RockSmith, or similar) I can't add it as a filter... Are there apps like OBS that work 100%?

I am looking to stream or record guitar on Neural DSP plugins (now working) and or record apps like RockSmith and comment on them as I record or stream.

Did you try restarting the puter? That works sometimes.
What version vst plugs are you using? vst 3 is a tough one. I know you can use Waves plugs with Waves Studio Rack
Vmix prolly works but it is a paid deal

The VST filter works. I can add ASIO or an audio output and do a right click and add filter (vst) and then I can pick any of my Neural DSP or other amps. What I can’t do is add ASIO output and then start an amp or app like rocksmith and expect the amplified sound with effects to show up in a recording, even though I can hear them and see the audio meter moving. It just doesn’t work.

Just discovered that I had the same issue (everything working ok but unable to add or change ASIO inputs because the OBS Channel fields were greyed out). Had to disable Norton for a few seconds for the install, but it works! Running Win 11, Ableton Live 11, SonoBus 1.7.1, Focusrite USB ASIO.

For those who've been testing my new release, please download the new binaries (alpha4):
- fix the AV false positive flagging
- fix layout not updating number of channels
- fix a crash on exit
And post a comment on the dedicated thread, especially if it is working. https://github.com/pkviet/obs-asio/discussions/2

I should move to final release if nobody reports new bugs.
