ASIO plugin no channels in list.

I installed the ASIO plugin for OBS. It installs correctly, I can add it as a source, when I edit properties I see my devices in the drop-down, but no matter what device I select, there are no options in the channel dropdown lists.

Wondering if there is some trick I am missing. I can't find anyone else with this same issue, but I have tried so many different combinations of systems that I can't see how it is something unique about my setup.

Have tried on 2 different computers and with all the drivers/hardware listed below, same results all around. These are all known working and have no problems with ASIO applications.

Both computers:
OBS version 29.1.3
obs-asio v3.1.1
Windows 11 Pro

ASIO devices test:
PreSonus AudioBox USB
PreSonus Studio 1824c
PreSonus StudioLive 16R
Realtek with Realtek ASIO driver
ASIO4All
(Those last two were for testing only, wondering if the plugin didn't play nice PreSonus.)

Hey,
just wanted to let you know that i got the exact same problem.
I am using Windows 11 and OBS 30.0.0 trying to capture sound from Reaper via ReaRoute ASIO
Tryied installing obs-asio-3.1.1-windows-x64 and obs-asio-3.1.1-windows-x86 with the x86 version i wasn´t even able to add a new asio input capture (not in the list of sources) so i uninstalled it and reinstalled the x64 version but that did not help either.
Everything worked fine a few mounths ago with Windows 10.
i hope this will get fixed soon!

It's strange because I have updated OBS to 30.0 but I didn't get any anomaly or malfunctioning of the ASIO

Hi, same here, but with some differences:
I've been using OBS 28 on Windows 11 on my new PC (i7 13700-64GBRAM-Behringer UMC) several times getting audio from Reaper 6 and 7 via ASIO driver by Andersama's asio plugin 2.0.3.
Today I got the "a new version of OBS is available" window so I downloaded version 30. I'm now no more able to get audio from Reaper (7).
I have tried installing the new version of Andersama's asio plugin, but no way.
I have then downgraded both OBS to v.28 and asio plugin to 2.0.3, but now, starting OBS, I get the following message:

[English Translation : Plugin load error. The following plugins have not been loaded: win-asio. Update or remove these plugins.]
Can anybody help? Many thanks in advance.

I have now uninstalled both OBS and asio plugin and installed OBS 30 and Andersama's asio plugin 2.0.3, but I get the same error message at the start of OBS.

I don't see the "ASIO capture" line in the source list of values either.

I think its a windows 11 thing...
As I said: I'm with W11 pro, OBS 30.0 and same ASIO drivers: I don't also get any error.
YES I get some PC crash sometimes by using OBS (even after have turned it off) but I 'm aware about issues I have switch my graphics card.
Nothing to do with OBS, or Windows 11.

Just to close the loop let me give you an update after a long night.
I have uninstalled all (including settings) with REVO, cleared register & c., restarted the PC, and installed the old config (that used to work until last week) OBS 28 and Andersama's asio plugin 2.0.3. I know this configuration did work perfectly because I have done several videos with it. At the start, I now get the error message "Plugin load error. The following plugins have not been loaded: win-asio. Update or remove these plugins".
Then uninstalled all again, (including settings) with REVO, cleared register & c., restarted the PC, and installed OBS 30 and Andersama's asio plugin 3.1.1. Now I don't get the same error message anymore and in the "Sources" panel I can add "Asio Input Capture", and then select "ReaRoute ASIO (x64)" in the Device (red!??) field of the Properties window. Then Format: Stereo, but when moving to OBS Channel 1 (or 2) I cannot choose nor input any value (while I used to see and choose the ReaRoute channels in a list of values).
Even saving this config and then using the three dots menu to edit it (I've seen this trick on a YouTube video) nothing changes: I cannot enter any value in the OBS Channel fields.
Eventually, I used a workaround with ReaStream in "local broadcast".
I KNOW THAT THIS IS NOT A VALID SOLUTION, I KNOW THAT ReaStream IS MADE FOR ANOTHER PURPOSE, but with this trick, I have been able to fulfill my deadline.
I suspect this is a Windows 11 issue and I'm happy to know that nobody has this issue and to get any useful suggestions.
Thank you all for your help.
My HW/SW configuration follows:
Windows 11 Pro 64-bit 10.0.22631 build 22631, CPU: Intel i7 13700, RAM 64GB, MB: MSI PRO Z790-P WIFI,GPU: GeForce RTX 3060 (MSI), 2x SSD 1TB + 1HD 4TB, BEHRINGER UMC 404HD 192k. Reaper 7.05, OBS 30.0.0 (64bit), obs-asio 3.1.1

... forgot to say that in the first part of the night, I've already tried all possible cross-combinations (OBS 28 + obs-asio 2 / OBS 28 + obs-asio 3 / OBS 30 + obs-asio 2 / OBS 30 + obs-asio 3) getting always the same results (either plugin error or no way to input OBS channels).

I just discovered this issue as well. What's weird is all my scenes that already contained asio inputs are correctly mapped and working......but I can't change them if I need to. I went to an older machine (Win 10 running v29.1.3) and made the changes I needed there, exported the scene collection, reimported to the new machine (Win11, V30.0.0) and the changes had taken effect. So they ARE working, you just can't create/edit new ones. So odd.

I'm using a portable version because in the normal obs installation 'game capture' is not working anymore, but after updating the portable obs to 30.0.0 asio channels are not listed in the device but 'scenes that already contained asio inputs are correctly mapped and working'. The asio plugin in the normal windows obs installation (not portable) is working ok showing the list of asio channels (but 'game capture' is not capturing Valorant, it can capture any other game, problem not related to this thread).

After using Revo Uninstaller I installed OBS 29.1.3, windows installer - not portable. Now I can choose channel from ASIO device list. (Running it as admin fixed the 'game capture' problem).

I am new to OBS and encountering the same error after installing the ASIO plugin. Attempting to patch ReaRoute from Reaper DAW to OBS for streaming online music lessons. Hoping this works better than VoiceMeeter which is not fun to work with for streaming/music applications.

I don't know how many hours I have been totally desperate with exactly the same problem with OBS and its Channel OBS tabs. Thank God, I recently stumbled upon this post and have been testing different versions of the program. So I registered in the forum just to come back and tell you that with OBS 29.1.2 you can say goodbye to the channel problem once and for all. Finally!

Did this fix the no value for the ASIO plugin in a windows 11 pc? Are there any other plugins that do the same thing but actually work?

Have a feeling I may be going back to obs 29. whatever is on my old puter. Won't be able to do it till Sun, but will post back my results

For whoever finds this. I have NOT tested this yet... but after looking around I found what should be a fix. Go here: https://github.com/foxx1337/obs-asio/releases/tag/v3.2.0-bassasio

Get the file: obs-asio.v320-bassasio.7z
Unzip it and drop the two folders into the path: C:\Program Files\obs-studio (assuming you're on windows and this was your install directory (its the default)

then open OBS and you should see its now able to be populated with values.

Ill test tonight... but if anyone else has time, please let me know if it worked.
