Yes and my in-game performance drops horribly if I have it on.

There were multiple driver updates since then and this issue still exists :/
have you tried going back to DX11 renderer, regular game capture and disabled hardware decoding in Steam settings? There are two places where it can use this, one in in-home streaming, and other in one of the other tabs (I can't recall).

might give it a try.

bump :(
at this point, do i just keep poking AMD nonstop?
If you are on windows 10, you could give monitor capture a try. it might actually work on full screen games and will definitely run for full screen windowed. just note that it will capture everything that you see on that monitor. I don't know what else to tell you besides keep your driver up to date. current version is Crimson 16.4.1 I believe. run DDU first then reboot then install, then reboot again. I would leave out Gaming Evolved app unless you wish to use that instead.

monitor capture shows a frozen frame in fullscreen games and gaming at non-native fullscreen adds big input lag which really makes me mess up as I'm a competitive player
guess I'll be sending my 11th driver issue report :/

@dping This is a known issue with certain AMD R9 cards currently.
Radeon R9s have an underlying architecture problem causing this issue. It's caused by problems in their OpenGL stack.

It only affects game capture of OpenGL games.

The only way to bypass this currently is the multi adapter compatibility checkbox in game capture (or maybe using the OpenGL renderer).
