I noticed that they are arranged in alphabetical order. You could add numbers to rank them in priority as a fix

It would be nice to be able to manually arrange them without having to rename them, but rename works as a temporary workaround. Thanks for that suggestion.

Was wondering this myself. I have 4 audio sources, two of which are webcams and I'd like to just delete those, I'll never use them. I hid the webcams but still would like to put my mic first then order my capture cards. For now I'm going to put numbers in front like sospwa suggest.

Well.. I just tried renaming my main microphone. And nothing changed. I added "1 - " to the front. No change (I'm wanting it at the top). Then "A - ". No Change. Then, to see if it was trying to go in reverse order for some reason, I added "Z -". Still, it stayed in the same spot.
So I'd say that, at least with OBS 28.0.3, you can't rearrange your audio sources even with renaming them.

CORRECTION... after doing the renaming, I was still messing around. Changed from horizontal to vertical, and saw that they had moved. Changed back to horizontal layout, and my main mic is now at the top where I want it.

I guess changing the layout resets it enough to allow the new arrangement.

Just by restarting obs they change, but it's still pretty ugly to the view, it would be a nice feature to add in the future, or maybe a plugin.

For anyone looking for this answer, it is to add number to the beginning of the source name: 1 Mic, 2 Program, 3 Something, 4 Something Else
