Question / Help Are streams saved?

I was curious if streams are saved to a file and if they are able to be viewed from my own computer?

Streams CAN be saved if you have the featured turned on but i suppose it can take up quite a lot of space.

On the other hand, if you're streaming on Twitch.tv, it usually saves your past broadcasts so you can make highlights out of them. They stay on the cloud for a week i think and then it gets deleted.

yeah. somehow my auto archive got turned off for a few, and i'm looking to see if there is a way to get the most recent one.

OBS can save local copies of your live streams if you check the "Save to file" box and set a location for "File Path" under Settings > Broadcast Settings. If that option isn't enabled and the stream provider also wasn't configured to save your live stream, there isn't a way to recover it.

Twitch turned off auto-archiving for non-partners who had never made highlights on their channel. It is now an opt-in system.
