Application Audio Capture (BETA) doesn't work in new Teams app

Hi.

I have been using OBS to record Teams meetings while using the option of application audio capture. However, since moving to the new Teams app this feature does not seem to work. I can still choose it on the list of sources, but it does not show any audio being played from the meeting (as you can see on the screenshot normal audio recording works fine). Is there any way I can make it work?

Thanks in advance!

Well, it *is* "BETA", which means that you shouldn't blindly rely on it yet. @Suslik V has a list of existing threads about that.

In the meantime, you can use the older method that does work, of capturing *everything* that a selected device does. Speakers, headphones, cheap USB thing that's not wired to anything, etc. And then control by other means, what goes to that device.

According to: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/new-teams-cant-capture-the-virtual-camera.171102/ and https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/urgent-the-new-ms-teams-is-blocking-its-screen.170556/ there are more problems with "new" Teams app and OBS. And in both cases "old" Teams app resolves the issue. IMHO, worth a try.
And again, the method @AaronD mentioned above still should work OK.

Technically, the "cover" (.exe file) you see is not always the "thing" that making the sound in your PC, so it may turn out that the fact that OBS unable to capture it - is quite normal... (don't mind it, my own speculation).

About "Beta" status. Main reason is here:

You can give to developers of OBS a bit more info:
And try to run OBS as admin (sometimes it helps to resolve access rights issues, that usually has no visible symptoms).
