Question / Help Anyone want to help a complete novice? (log attached)

I'm going mad you guys. I've watched so many videos and read so many tutorials and guides and I can't figure out why I'm lagging and have lower quality videos when recording. I read a reply here that told a user their computer just couldn't handle OBS and I'm wondering if that's the case for me. If anyone has the time, can you please take a peek at my log and let me know if I can record videos on this computer and if so, settings for the best quality.

** I read a guide and changed some things today and it gave me the best quality so far but still not quite crisp/a tad blurry and it was basically a recording of still images because the lag was so bad.

Thank you so much in advance. You have no idea how much I need this help.

The log you provided shows no recording attempt.

Try simple output mode, indistinguishable recording quality, flv format, software (x264 low cpu use increased file size) encoder
 
From what ive seen on my machine
- scaling down from a higher screen resolution _could_ make the output look (seen in OBS) less crisp. another reason could come from using low bitrates <500k and or the baseline h264 profile.
#Performance
- Imitially, the Network stream lagged but had no dropped frames and CPU Utilisation around @60%
- so i used a LAN Cable connection and configured OBS->Advanced->ProcessPriority to high.
- lags gone.

I'm sorry the first log was wrong. I just picked the most recent one. I have attempted a recording with my settings before changes and attached that log. I also changed the settings to your recommendations and attempted a recording and attached that log as well. Both were extremely laggy, the first moreso than the 2nd, and the quality is still much better on the first that the 2nd.

Hi Sylvia, thanks for providing the new logs. They reflect the situation you described here:

# 17:23:54.920: Output 'adv_file_output': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 887 (73.5%)

However, they also say that you choosed to use Window Capture instead of Game Capture.

Oh, and - did you use the 64Bit OBS Installation ?
# 17:22:22.347: Physical Memory: 5941MB Total, 1708MB Free (NOTE: 32bit programs cannot use more than 3gb)
