Question / Help Anyone successfully Streamed with OBS on Facebook Live from PC Desktop?

I have been streaming on YouTube for over a year but with last weeks news from Facebook's F8 conference I am looking to start streaming on Facebook.

Their setup guide is inadequate. https://www.facebook.com/facebookmedia/get-started/live

I am able to connect and see a preview with audio but my video is a black screen.

Has anyone successfully streamed on Facebook Live using a PC?

Would you mind sharing your setup / OBS Settings?

I attached my LogFile Thank you.

Sorry for the late reply @Bert Sampson, according to your logs you sometimes used too high settings. You also need to make sure to create a new live video on the facebook page and update your stream key after each try in OBS. As the key gets invalidated.

I added a resource with the steps for OBS-Studio to stream to Facebook Live, including a video:
https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/how-to-stream-to-facebook-live.391/
  • Video Resolution: maximum 720p (1280 x 720) resolution, at 30 frames per second.
  • Key-Frame Interval 2
  • Max bit rate 2500Kbps
  • 90 minute maximum length.
You should then see whatever you see on the OBS preview also on your preview on the Facebook page. Oh and make sure your upload allows you to stream with 2500kbps.

I am also looking for help in getting live stream for FB. I am on Windows 10. Our OBS platform (i just downloaded the latest) is not nearly as styled as the one in the video, I assume you are on Mac? Anyway, in the streaming services drop down it does not give me FB.

Is it a custom? Is this not available for PC Win10?

Thanks.

If you mean my video, I use OBS-Studio on Windows 10. Not sure if the classic OBS has facebook in the server list actually but OBS-Studio can be found right on the frontpage of obsproject.com. On the left is OBS classic, on the right is OBS-Studio.
