I don't have it, but I heard it is a great cpu. Very overclockable, stays really cool and performs really well in gaming aswell as in doing multithreaded tasks, like streaming ofcourse. But why don't you wait? Intel will release new cpu's by december, with some great improvements. I'd wait.

Most people in most games can do Fast preset with a Haswell i7 like the 4770k or 4790k. I wouldn't hesitate to get one, Intel hasn't blown anyone away with their new CPUs since Sandy Bridge, its been merely modest improvements for a while now.

Yeh...modest improvements, but the new cpu's of intel are always the same price as their predecessors, and it just feels better to have the newest architecture with the newest stuff. At least for me....

Yeah I know what you mean how long do you think the 1150 socket will last? I might upgrade the mobo as well

Yes, I have a 4790K and it runs great. I haven't tried to OC it yet. I usually like to use one for a while before I start fiddling with the settings. Having said that, when I first built the system my ASUS mobo was in turbo mode and OC'd it right off the bat to 4.4GHz. That's where it has been since.

If the iGPU is of interest to you, then you may want to do as others have suggested and wait for the next model. I think I read somewhere it has the Intel HD 5300. The 4790 cpu has the 4600. That is what you use if you bother with Quick Sync, which I sometimes do.

I'm also wondering my mobo has only4 pin cpu power not 8pin I just don't think it would be safe

Then your mobo is probably a "business" motherboard and most likely doesn't even HAVE the ability to overclock. But that doesn't really matter, that 4790k is strong enough.
