Question / Help Anybody Streamed USB Cam to OBS using VLC/Plugin?

Hey All,

I've trying to get my head around this and I'm not. Plenty of Google searches later, and I'm still at the same place.
I would like to stream a USB Webcam through VLC on my Desktop, to be picked up on my Laptop using the VLC Plugin on OBS (i've installed the 64bit so the VLC Source is showing). I was debating whether to post this in here, or VLC forums and based on past VLC Forums lack of replies on another question, I opted for here.

So, my main question is, can it be done? and if so, are there any tutorials/instructions online?

I don't know why you want it, but I tested it and it works for me:
Add a vlc video source and add dshow:// to the playlist.
