In OBS classic I keep desktop audio muted on OBS so I can do other things whilst I get the stream ready. with OBS playing music directly to stream. Is there any way to do this with OBS studio?

That would allow me to capture from an audio output. I'd still be unable to say, mute the channel or listen to my music or check videos, check mic levels etc whilst the stream intro is playing. So it's not quite the same.

I want to not hear any sound or have any sound played on my pc go to the stream, but have the intro music go to the stream, bypassing all audio devices, just like you can in OBS classic using the video source plugin.

never mind. I realise now this is how it works anyway without any need for the options I couldn't find. Doh!
