Question / Help Any way to change file output?

is there any way to change the save file that OBS saves as? currently its mp4, my video editing program dosnt allow the use of mp4. is there any way to change it to avi? or anything else.

Not with the current version of OBS. The OBS rewrite (OBS Multiplatform) will eventually support a lot more output formats.
