I know the compressor is normally used for the mic to help you not peak, but I have been trying to use the compressor to simply raise quiet sounds, and lower loud sounds. What I have found out is that it works great if there is only 1 source of audio, but if you combine voice chat, game sounds, and background music, things will randomly be quieter than others.
So my question is if there are any plugins for OBS that allow you to apply unique compressors for separate programs? Or can anyone here point me to what I need? Although I would love to control each application I use separately, I can be happy with something that fixes my music levels, and nothing else.
I was hoping to do all of this through software and not jerry rig something like using my onboard audio card for my music, and my PCI-E sound card for everything else.
Thank you for your time
