Any plugin for better zooming/cropping the captured view ?

I'm looking for a plugin for zooming (like with crtl+mouse wheel) or cropping like the spinet tool the recorded area.
Every time i want to record fast a part of my screen i struggle to grab the corner and pull for ever without knowing what I'm doing.

This should have been build in, but for some reason there is no fast way of "zooming/cropping" the recorded area.
