Is this full NDI, NDI HX 2, or NDI HX 1? If it's the latter, you'll also need to install the NDI|HX Driver. Fill out the form on NDI.tv to download NDI|HX Tools, and they'll sent you a link for that at the same time.

Full NDI and HX 2 both use mDNS for discovery, but HX 1 used a different mechanism, and without installing the driver, your computer can't see those sources.

Download Sienna's NDI tools and see if their version of the video monitor works for you. If it can see the source, then the problem is software. If it can't see the source, then the problem is either a network configuration issue or something wrong with the source. (BTW, what is the source?)

(Sienna's tools bundle a complete copy of the framework, driver, etc. into the app, so it is a great way to narrow down problems.)

NDI does not show up as a source. When I open OBS I get this error.
I can see the NDI camera in the application "NDI Video Monitor"
How can I get the NDI plugin to install and work properly?

Is this an M1 Mac or Intel? Are you running NDI 4.5.x or a newer version? If a newer version, you'll need to install a newer runtime, because that old version will probably stomp on it and break things. Try reinstalling NDI again over top of it.

I've been having the same problem with my Panasonic AW-HN38. Any luck? I think it may be HX1... but not sure. I've also installed ALL of the plugins and tools

Enable uPNP on your router to enable HX1 Mdns requirement. All router has this options disable by default due to security issues.
