Hi guys.

So - I built a new PC last week. Full specs are:

Intel Core i7-5820k (Currently not overclocked) 6 Cores @ 3.2Ghz
Corsair H110i GTX Liquid CPU Cooler
32GB GSkill Ripjaws V-Series DDR4 Memory (I run VM's and a lot of video editing)
Samsung 850 500GB SSD
Asus X99-A ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard
x2 Seagate Barracuda 2TB Drives @ 7200RPM (No RAID Config)
EVGA Superclocked GTX 980 (Plans to get an SLI setup in the future)
Corsair Air 540 Case
EVGA 850W 80+ Gold Efficiency PSU

Not exactly a slouch of a machine.

However, whenever I turn on League of Legends to stream I drop from around a solid smooth 300-350FPS to around a choppy 100FPS. At least that's what it reads, it definitely doesn't feel like 100. Feels more like 30 to me, making it pretty horrible to play. The actual stream looks okay, but for me playing it just feels choppy and not enjoyable.

My OBS Settings are:

Encoding: https://gyazo.com/8894152982ff4fec8d1eb51bbbc663eb
Video: https://gyazo.com/175d68e8467ea371c59bbf3b25ac8585
Advanced: https://gyazo.com/d80751bb9a89f11097f4fcd67bf037b1

My CPU doesn't hit anything over 30% load whilst streaming and my GPU stays about the sort of temps too.

If you need screen shots of anything else or any log files please let me know.

Please post a logfile from a live streaming session at least 10 minutes in length. Upload it from the Help menu, and post the link to it here.
Screenshots of settings are unnecessary, your settings are saved in the (text) logfile.

are you running league in full screen or borderless windowed?

also tbh those problems seem to only show up on obs with w10 systems i think it might still be some sort of compatibility issue

This may just be a Windows 10 issue; it's known to have streaming performance problems at-present. Expected with any new OS, and why most are advised to stick with Win7 or 8 until MS gets the teething-problems patches out of the way.

You're getting a LOT of duplicated and late frames, probably what's making it feel slow/low-rate.

Try switching to fullscreen windowed, and use a window capture for the game instead. I'd also recommend going back to Veryfast on the x264 preset while troubleshooting, and drop to 2500-2700kbps; your connection is showing stability problems. I'd also recommend turning OFF CFR (Twitch needs CBR, but not cfr) unless you plan to edit with Sony Vegas specifically, for upload to YouTube or similar.

Borderless Windowed drops my fps by about 50-100 when i'm not streaming, so I don't bother with it anyway.

Giving this all a go tonight. Will post back with results

GPU download and conversion step takes really long. Can you post a screenshot of gpu-z?

Which part of GPU-Z? I must admit I've never used GPU-Z before. Would you like the screenshot to provide a before, during and after from the stream?

Check if you have the card in the correct slot, it's reporting that the PCI-e bus interface runs at x1, it should be at x16.
First try to rule out power management features, start a game (to put load on the GPU) and check if it changes value.
