Annoying OBS stutter on every game...

I hope I can finally get this resolved!

So no matter what game I play, windowed, full-screen, windowed full-screen, the game-play is perfect. However, even when sitting idle, OBS has this weird stutter as you'll see and I think I've tried every possible option to resolve it. I've changed every setting I can think of. I've updated Windows to 2004 recently with the newest NVIDIA drivers and OBS is up to date but this has been a problem I've been having since forever. I've tried turning Game Mode on and off with no difference and the only progress I've made so far is noticing the stutter is a lot less by using Display Capture instead of Game Capture. Game Capture isn't jittery, it's choppy. Display Capture is jittery.

I've even noticed other streams that almost every one of them also has this stutter, but depending on each person it's either less or much worse. I'm at a loss at this point. My best guess is it has something to do with OBS and DX12. Please help!

I would recommend rolling back your GPU driver, I've read a couple of times on other forums (While searching separate issues) that this completely fixes the stuttering.

I tried it with one version when someone suggested it (though I can't remember which one) and it didn't do anything. Which version was it that was recommended?

IIRC it was 446.14 after a quick search here:

I can't remember it being one of the 45x drivers, and the 446 rings a bell.
EDIT: Also, are you running OBS as 'Administrator'?

That's the version I downgraded to and didn't do anything. I know because when I searched for it I had already used the link before. Appreciate the help though.

Ah, was worth a shot, was just something I came across while searching quality issues. Hope you sort it.

Doesn't do anything. The stutter happens even when OBS is idle (not recording, not streaming, just open). I've even tried disabling the preview and the stutter is still there. The capture itself is stuttering.
