Question / Help An internal capture card 1080p @60fps?

Hi,

Looking into streaming and making youtube videos. Will therefore invest in a capture card. I want one that is internal so it is easier on the eye with cables, and I want it to capture 1080p @60fps. I searched around for the known brands out there and none of them have an internal capture card that records 1080p @60fps.

Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI. It's above your budget slightly at $330, but it's worth every penny. HDMI, VGA, Composite, S-Video, Component, RGB (supposedly, with updated drivers, but I haven't tested this one). Can go up to 1080@60 or down to 240i for retro consoles. Passthrough, and super-low capture latency too.

Do be aware that you shouldn't expect to stream at 1080@60; the only real reason to capture at high rates like this is to record locally, or avoid rate-match stutter (capture and stream rate being matched but just slightly off-sync, resulting in duped and skipped frames, causing stutter).

Yea, unfortunately other internal cards that are cheaper are normally limited to 30fps on 1080p. Only the LiveGamer HD can downscale 1080p60fps to 720p60fps to sustain 60. So either the SC-512NL or see if you can get a nice DataPath capture card on ebay for cheap. They are normally around 1000+$ but you can sometimes get one for less than 300.

Noone who thinks Avermedia or Elgato or someone will make one that is cheaper in the future? Just found out that I want to invest into a mic as well.
