Yesterday I wanted to record something using OBS and the AMD HW H.264 Encoder with my R9 290. The last time I did this was about one and a half years ago. Back then it worked flawlessly. But yesterday I have encountered serious performance issues. The resulting videos had about 5 frames a second regardless of settings used. The stats panel is non the wiser, it does not show the massive frame drops. After hours of Troubleshooting I had the idea to test an old version, it worked. The absoulte latest version working is 30.0.2 from Dec 10, 2023 on Github. The next Item on the Releases page, 30.1 beta 1 from Feb 2, 2024 is broken and everything after that. Im not a programmer so I can not narrow it down further. Reading the Patch notes does not suggest this is intended or intentionally ignored behavior. Nvidia Keplar isn't supported anymore, my R9 is from the same year, but it is not explicitly excluded. Should I report this as a Bug? And should I report it directly to Github?
