Question / Help AMD FX 6300

Hey after a moderator deletes my post in another thread i create my own chuuu pu.


Does the AMD FX 6300 work good for Streaming with OBS.

I use a Nvidia gtx 750ti OC from Palit and have a dual monitor setup with my now processor (amd phenim ii x4 940) i have some fps issues while streaming and play csgo with OBS (i stream over nvenc)

i want to ask if the amd fx 6300 will help me to get stable fps while streaming (without obs i habe 129fps on dual monitor setup) turn obs on and stream fps 50-60 (same if u just run OBS in background without streaming)

Before I upgraded to an i7, I was streaming on that CPU. It works fine for 720p30fps and in some not-so-demanding games 720p60fps.

An Intel i5 is better than it. The rule of thumb should be it takes 2 AMD cores to equal 1 Intel core. So that CPU is worse than a 4-core Intel CPU like most of the i5s.

No. You need a better CPU than a FX 6300. An Intel i5 would work, while an AMD FX 6300 will still be bad.

AMD just have a higher energy consumption than intel but look for the amd fx 8350 its a way better than much intel processor pls read some tech-magazines... always say intel is better than AMD is nonsense.. sry but pls close this thread MOD

No, most likely not but it has to be tested if you record 720p60 on the Ultrafast Preset while streaming 720p30 on veryfast.

This was the Case when The 8350 was compared to a i5 3570k and even then in terms of streaming the Intel could handle the raw load of encoding by far better. Nowadays an i5 6600 simply takes a dump on the 8350 in pretty much every case you will be using it. Never the less if you can get a cheap Xeon e3 1231v3 and a Board then get that.
