Question / Help AMD FX-6300 dedicated streaming PC for 720P @60FPS 3K bitrate?

So currently i'm planning to buy an AMD CPU for dedicated streaming PC (dual PC setup) and I'm wondering if it would be enough for 720P 60fps streming at 3000 kbps bitrate or even lower if possible. Overclocking the CPU is something that will be done. So should i just opted with FX-6300 or i need a FX-8320 to be able to do so?

Note: Streaming will be done with x264 encoder with faster / fast setting, not the usual very fast

Should be more than fine. I'm playing AND recording / streaming 720p 30 fps (veryfast) on my FX-4100 (OC to 4.0GHz without increasing vcore, only multiplier). Sometimes I even record 1080p (League of Legends or other games that have lots of smaller texts) but only locally, not streaming 1080p.

I actually just wanted to open same thread about this. So I will assume that at one point its possible to stream even at 1080/30 right ?

Is there anything else important beside CPU ? I wanted that cpu with something like r5 230 1gb, some cheap 4gb @ 1333mhz ?

Also is there a way to stream on second PC without capture card ? I have 2 of those, just wondering :)

FX-6300 should have no problems streaming 1080p / 30 fps if it's a dedicated streaming PC and the game is being played with a secondary computer. No reason to go 1080p / 60 fps since flash tends to suck playing back a stream like that.

A capture card is not really necessary if you are streaming with two PC's.
I recommend grabbing 8 gigs of RAM since they are really cheap these days. You can get two 4 gb combs for 80 dollars.

There is no reason to buy an expensive video for the streaming dedicated PC since the game is being played on the other machine anyway.

How would I stream from dedicated streaming PC without capture card ? I have capture card in fact but I'm wondering about that.

I decided to go for r5 230 since its not going to be used for anything else beside some casual gaming with older games and since they were fine on HD5670 512mb it will be only better with that GPU. Also RAM is kinda expensive in my country so I will most likely start with 4gb @ 1333mhz.

Easily. My old Athlon II X4 640 could stream in 720p@30fps while playing the game(s) as well. So you'll have absolutely no problem streaming 720p@60fps or higher res. I didn't try higher fps as I head a measly 2mbit upload at that time so I didn't even bother.

I'm actually testing now current E8400 Core 2 Duo and I dont see any dropped frames with 2500 / veryfast / 720p which is really weird wow. But I'm using capture card, I'm wondering how can I actually use dedicated streaming pc without capture card.

I will be using it for faster / fast preset though so there's that

You can check this out if you are interested. Streaming with to PC's without a capture card requires a linux operating system on the second PC and some tinkering. It's more simple to use a capture card since you already have those :)

Should be just fine even with those presets.
