Question / Help AMD encoding

soooo i started seeing why it sucked using obs its AMD encoding because when u sellect the amd preset it doesnt actually use your amd encoder instead it uses your cpu too and then your content is well frigged up hahaha but please can someone tell me how to NOT use your cpu while encoding with your amd gpu because i want to set custom fps but i cant do that in amd's software .-. so please someone halp me O^O

If you have an AMD GPU that supports the AMF encoder (AMD calls it the VCE feature) and you select it as your encoder, OBS will use it.

Use of AMF is not as "free" as NVENC on Nvidia cards, but it still is GPU encoding-- it does not use the CPU.

What it will do, however, is increase load on the GPU, whereas the use of NVENC on an Nvidia card does not, generally speaking, increase the load on the GPU itself.

Neither use CPU for encoding when GPU encoding is selected. OBS may be using CPU for other tasks, but not encoding, as far as I am aware.
