Amcrest PTZ Protocol?

Does anyone know what protocol Amcrest uses for pan/tilt/zoom on their PTZ cameras? I've got an IP4M-1041 connected via RTSP to my church's OBS. I've got the video feed working. I'm wanting to be able to control pan/tilt from within OBS using the plug-in. I've been unsuccessful thus far.

I'll answer my own question. Amcrest does not use Visca or Pelco PTZ protocols. They use, or at least my IP4M-1041 http/cgi commands. A nearly 200 page document is available on the Amcrest website under support.

little tip create an website with the commands and use it in a custome Browser dock ! please create an localhost HTTPS site !

That's not a bad idea.

I realized I could solve the problem by opening up the camera in a web browser. When this is done you get the video of the camera and a PTZ control icon. You can then control the camera in the web browser and the result will show up in OBS. Perhaps this could be done within OBS but I think then that you would get everything that shows in the browser, not just the video. It's a brute force way but it works!

The other solution is to buy a better camera that uses VISCA or Pelco protocol. You do get a better camera and better control. It just costs about $400 more.

We use the Amcrest IP4M-1041 for a wide shot camera in our sanctuary. We don't try to use it for detailed close-ups or extended videos. It's kind of like an ambiance camera to give the viewer more of a feeling of being in the congregation.
