Plug another HDMI source into your capture device, to confirm if it is working correctly.

Why are you trying to capture a Firestick? Do be aware that they have HDCP copy-protection to avoid pirates recording movies/TV/content off them, so you may not be able to capture them at all.

I have the same problem - I can see the firestick video capture but then you click on the device button, there is no option for USB Video. I checked that privacy settings on the camera to ensure OBS had access and it does. Any ideas why the drop-down does not show USB Video

i have the same, issue, tried 2 video capture devices, both work on my desktop pc, but not my laptop. also to answer the above question, looking to use firestick on laptop on travels, only way to use it, is to use a video capture device and obs.
Could anyone help with figuring why it works on Desktop PC but not Laptop. Laptop is windows 11 and desktop is win 10, not sure if that would make a differnce

i have been able to resolve the issue i have, it was my camera, which i had disabled. due to which the usb video capture card was not showing. would never have thought the 2 to be linked. But enabling it has made it appear and work for me.
