Question / Help AmaRec keeps disappearing from the device list

I am using AmaRec passthrough to stream from a capture card, but AmaRec keeps disappearing from the list of devices in OBS. It only seems to appear when I run OBS as administrator. When I run it normally it is not in the list.

Does anyone know why this could happen and how to fix it?

There should be no downside in running OBS as administrator, though I normally only know of disappearing devices if you switch from OBS 64bit to 32bit or the other way around. Some devices are missing the appropriate driver or only install for one infrastructure.
I will try to find some time later and install amarec again to see if i can reproduce your problem!

Echoing what Jack0r said, AmaRecTV's drivers are 32-bit only, so you won't be able to use them in 64bit OBS. Make sure you are running the 32bit version.

Oh, you are correct. I was mistaken. I apparently had my shortcut set up to the 64bit version, and somehow my administrator profile was using the 32-bit version. I see that now.
