I spent some time today figuring this out for my Windows 10 notebook and thought others might find it helpful.
With my internet searching, the most often used method is to project the power point to a 2nd screen and do a screen capture in OBS. This method works just fine as long as you don't have any other needs for screen capture within any of your scenes with your 2nd monitor. With the limited supply of input sources I had, I couldn't use this method. So I ventured to see what other ways there are on the internet. I found another broadcast service which essentially imports your power point as a slide show into your project. Of course don't have access to your PPT notes that way, but I've always printed my notes out and only occasionally use the on-screen view of them.
Since OBS has an image slide show capability that would work exactly in this same way! Thus the solution unfolds within the folow steps. :)
Step 1: Export your power point slides to PDF
Step 2: Convert this pdf into jpg images. There are several online sites that can do this for free. :)
Step 3: Download the files and make a subfolder for them where your PPT document is. (It's probably good to give it the same name as the doc.)
Note: Make sure the image names match up to your PPT slides. If they are not in the proper order you may have to rename them to be in the correct order from the file explorer perspective ... that's how they will be imported into OBS.
Step 4: In OBS select your scene, in the Source panel click +, then select "Image Slide Show", then type in a name, click OK.
Step 5: In the Properties window of your slide show, carefully review all the options shown.
Visibility Behavior: Default is ok, but change as you may need.
Slide Movement: Change this to "Manual (Use hotkeys to control slideshow )"
Transition: Default is ok, but change as you may need.
For a power point presentations:
Unselect "Loop", "Hide when slideshow is done", "Randomize Playback"
Step 6: To import your PPT images, scroll down the properties windows to image files list box.
Images File(s): To add your PPT images
o Click +
o Select "Add Directory"
o Navigate to the folder where your PPT images are.
o Click the folder icon
o Click "Select Folder".
The result list in OBS is one line containing the folder path to the PPT images.
* See the attached image showing the result options I selected for my PPT presentation.

Step 7: Configure the hot-keys to manage the PPT image display. Note, the images are displayed in sequence no matter the direction to want to go.
o From the menu bar, select "File", "Settings', then "Hotkeys"
o Scroll down to the bottom of the Settings window and locate the name your gave your PPT Image List.
Play/Pause - This hotkey may not be needed for your PPT viewing, but I entered "P"
Next Slide - I used the right cursor key (-->)
Previous Slide - I use the left cursor key (<--)
Note: I don't recommend using the Up or Down cursor keys because those are used to move through your scenes.
* See the attached image showing the result hotkeys I selected for my PPT presentation.

Hope this helps!
