Question / Help Alt tabbing on stream

When i am streaming League of Legends and want to check my chat, i have to alt tab to see it but my game minimizes and League of Legends on my stream would freeze where i alt tab people can still see my mouse moving around. When i see other streamers, they would alt tab to read comments and the stream of the game would still be moving.

Is there something i have to change? or is it a Windows 8 thing? Please help

They're using windows capture instead of game capture and operating LoL in fullscreen windowed mode. Either that or they use a capture PC.

Yes, in order to do this, you need to run LoL in Windowed or Windowed/Borderless mode. If you are using Game Capture, then your viewers will not be able to see what you alt+tab to. If you want your viewers to see what you are alt+tabbed to, you need to use Window capture with Aero disabled or Monitor Capture with Aero disabled (neither of which I recommend) or use a capture card.

Well, I'm not sure what he's asking, to be honest. Does he want to show the chat window that he alt-tabs to or not? Does he want his game to "freeze-frame" or not? It has to be in windowed mode to not freeze frame, but you are right that if he uses Game Capture, the viewers will not see the chat window. It depends on what he wants.
