Allow local recording to continue during connection failure

Hi!

Story: today I was using OBS to stream a speedrun to Twitch while also saving a local recording. About 2/3 through the run my internet connection died, causing OBS to disconnect. At this point it stopped the local recording while it auto-retried the connection. During the auto-retries it saved several 30 second clips of footage but still missed large chunks of time. This now means I don't have a full recording of my run.

If OBS could continue local recordings during auto-retry attempts instead of cutting out between them, I think that would be great!

This is a common request, and should be possible in the OBS rewrite.

Yea, this is something we're working to get resolved. The rewrite is close enough to where I don't really want to do it in OBS1 though, because it would just end up getting deprecated anyway.
