Your audio devices are being recorded multiple times because you have them set in both Settings > Audio and added as sources multiple times. Why?

07:34:09.905: WASAPI: Device 'Headset Earphone (Razer ManO'War 7.1)' initialized
07:34:09.931: WASAPI: Device 'Headset Microphone (Razer ManO'War 7.1)' initialized
07:34:09.993: WASAPI: Device 'Headset Microphone (Razer ManO'War 7.1)' initialized

07:34:10.753: - scene 'Main Game Scene':
07:34:10.753: - source: 'RazerMic' (wasapi_input_capture)
07:34:10.753: - source: 'Audio Input Capture' (wasapi_input_capture)

07:34:10.754: - scene 'new game scene':
07:34:10.755: - source: 'Mic/Aux' (wasapi_input_capture)
07:34:10.755: - source: 'Desktop Audio' (wasapi_output_capture)

Not sure I understand what you're asking, this is how it's been running (or how I thought it should be) although to be clear main game scene isn't used any longer and probably should be deleted... I got a new layout and now only use the new game scene.

He's saying to remove the audio sources from your scenes directly if you're using the options in Settings -> Audio.

They are not linked together, and adding multiple audio input sources will capture the audio multiple times.

I didn't know that would cause a problem... wow. Ok so right now my settings > audio is:

Desktop Audio Device=Default
Desktop Audio Device 2=Disabled
Mic/Aux Audio Device=Headset Microphone (Razer ManOWar 7.1
Mic/Aux Audio Device2=Disabled
Mic/Aux Audio Device3=Disabled

So I should remove Razer from the scene as a source correct? And possibly Desktop Audio? (Which I think is where this specific problem is coming from)

Correct, you should remove the desktop audio SOURCE from the scenes, and the Razer. "Default" on windows means whatever your current default audio device is (desktop audio) in the windows sound control panel. If you want to select a specific device, you can, but default works for most everything.

Selecting them in settings -> audio means that OBS is capturing them, so the extra sources in the scenes themselves are not needed (and can create the echo you're getting).

it's not an echo really, it's that obs drops all sound down to a metronome like click, suddenly and for no reason.... it does not happen all the time, probably once a stream, but that's too much as I have to shut obs down and bring it back up. then it will work ok until the next time it feels like "clicking"

Sound cutting out... it might be USB bandwidth overload when using both USB webcam and USB sound device. If unplugging the webcam fixes the sound problem, this is USB bandwidth overload. Each USB host controller have limited bandwidth.

Right click windows 10 start button, device manager, highlight USB sound device, then view, by connection. Use a different USB ports until both USB device is on different USB host controllers. For desktop computer tower, USB PCI/PCI-E card can be used to add more USB controllers.

So if I grasp what you're saying, just by using the webcam and headset (both usb) I can be overloading the dardware input? I'll look today, after my morning stream, thanks!
