All of a sudden my camera lags when playing games

I'm not quite too sure what is the cause for this however my webcam (sony zv10) has started become choppy/laggy whenever I boot up any game regardless of it being graphically intensive or a small indie title. I've tried plugging my cam link 4k into different ports, I've reinstalled OBS and I've removed various scene from my obs but nothing seems to work

i had this issue recently, i use to use the built in AMD to encode, but i just switched to x264 encoder instead. This has made my webcam way more consistent, hope this can help.

I assumed at the time it was my Cam Link that was the issue but when I streamed from my PS5 the camera worked perfectly.

After two hours of trouble shooting my webcam stopped lagging (I was using Jedi fallen order as the benchmark because as soon as the game reached the main menu my camera started to lag). I don’t know what I did but I’m pointing towards my dummy battery possible overheating in the camera?
