I have now had serval people come into my stream on different occasions in the past 2 days stating that I have no audio what so ever. Upon investigation, yep no audio so I have been restarting my streams losing host and whatnot to correct the problem. I think I have narrowed the problem down to when I tab out of the game Im playing to either do something in chat or open a separate program the streaming audio will then drop. This problem has just started happening and I haven't changed any settings on my software or pc. https://obsproject.com/logs/CNl_hUWsq7G_ZwnK

Does the problem persist if you run OBS as administrator?

For your microphone's audio settings in windows, also make sure that the box for "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" is unchecked.

Yes I am running as admin. the audio is there and then not there but all indicators are suggesting that there is audio present. Like I said it has only been happening for the past two days. Tabbing in and out of the game and programs seems to have a trigger on it somehow imo. The stream will lose audio during stream, meaning that audio is present from both mic and all capture sources from the beginning till it decides to drop.

I ask about the admin thing because of this line in the logs:
Code:
0:14:44.263: Running as administrator: false
Are you actually right-clicking on OBS and choosing "run as administrator"?

Also, could you provide a log file from a recording/streaming attempt where this issue occurs? There's nothing in the current log file that shows anything out of the ordinary, but there's only a limited slice of time that it's showing.

Yes I am, and I know nothing shows up in the log, that's my issue. Furthermore upon investigation people have been having this exact issue since 2013 according to form history with no real fixes to the problem I have had this past 2 weeks with the exception of a test stream where I did absolutely no tabbing out of obs had loss of audio. I stream every day and love obs because of its low CPU consumption, but this issue is frustrating. Then I come onto the forums to try and get help from a Dev (hopefully) and find that many others have dealt with this issue and are still dealing with it. like the issue is tabbing out. Can we fix it or not?

Nothing is showing up in the log because this log does not contain an output session-- you made no attempt to stream or record in that log, which means that nearly all of the information that OBS could have perhaps written into it to indicate what is causing an audio problem is not there at all.

OBS has only 1 full time dev. Nearly all support is done here by volunteers who are users, not developers.

This is not recommended. Each scene should have one fullscreen capture in it, either a game capture or a display capture. Multiple duplicates can interfere with each other and cause bad performance. Either isolate different sources from each other in separate scenes or scene collections, or use a single game capture in the scene and reconfigure it on a per-game basis.

Out of curiousity, have you considered trying to install the AAC encoder?
