Just a quick question here. I hope someone here have ever try to do recording with Alder Lake QuickSync in 1440p 60fps. How is it going? Is it fast enough to get the job done? Thanks

I did some testing for ya. Streaming 4k & 720p @ 60fps concurrently using QuickSync. All good over here so far....

770

Also tested UHD P630 that is on a Xeon I have & that worked just as well.

This thread gave me a reason to enable QuickSync on my Z690. Thx for posting it!

Have them running side by side & I can't tell the difference between the NVENC & QuickSync 4k streams. It really works great with the Multi- RTMP Plugin too. Lagged only when switching sources.

There's no drop-down for the encoder

if you don't mind, try recording 1440p or 4K @ 60 fps with UHD 770 instead of live streaming. of course with higher bitrate (simple setting -> Indistinguishable quality maybe??)

quick sync performance should be completely the same between UHD 770 and 730, yes?

Thanks!

Test today was way more more stressful than a single 2k recording with those settings.

You'll need to look that up. TechPowerUp is a good place to start.

R U buying/building a PC?

I would highly recommend that you not depend solely on the 770. Get a PCI-e card too, let it do all the work & only use the 770 for encoding.

I'm testing my multicast now using the 3090 for 4k encoding duties & the 770 for streaming 1080p & 720p. An hour & half in, everything is purring like a kitten & the 770 is only 15% utilized.

building. just to record my gameplay in 1440p at least. and it would be a dedicated pc. I play my games on console. so yea, my UHD730 would be able to focus only for encoding. Is it gonna work?

YW!

That supports what I was seeing the other day when I couldn't tell the difference between the NVENC & QSV encoded streams.
