Question / Help After Win10 update performances completely OBLITERATED

So basically, I got a big update for Win10, which took years to boot up due to it's annoying messages like "we left your files where they were" bla bla bla

and at the bottom left of my screen I do not have a magnifying glass, but I have a circle for Cortana -_-

I was like sure np, let's hit it off anyway...

I am unable to record videos in 30FPS now.
Before I could do 60FPS with ease (Smite and CS:GO)

Sooooo

I have an i5 proc, 16GB ram, GTX 960...
2K monitor (I downscale the resolution to 720p)
5000 bitrate.

Help me out? Or else I have to wipe C: and put on Win7 or 8.1

@MarvinPvP Please follow the instructions in the guide for high quality recordings that Harold linked. The log you posted does not have anything resembling what the guide tells you to do, which is why you're being told to go back and follow the instructions.

No, I won't follow those instructions again, since they create shitty quality videos.
Videos I created with MY settings which I carefully explored and tested for months look like THIS

SO PLEASE do not tell me to degrade to something that's barely watchable.

If the video quality was poor then you followed the instructions incorrectly. Please try again, and post a log with the results if the quality is still poor so we can see what went wrong.

You should also be aware that using Youtube to gauge video quality is a terrible idea, because Youtube re-encodes all of your uploads. They won't ever look like the local files you record.

how about we fix it under my settings and then we all go home happy?

your recommended settings offer bitrate 1000 which is by itself SHIT

We're trying to help you fix your settings (by showing you what to change them to) but you're refusing to accept any help. Not sure what you want at this point.

Let me quote something you may have missed in that guide and why the 1000 doesn't mean what you think it means.

Explanation:
Setting the buffer size to zero disables the VBV system, allowing x264 to hit any bitrate necessary to achieve the quality (CRF) specified. If you wish to increase quality further, you need to use advanced options - quality 10 is equal to a CRF of 22, which is fine for live streams but not so good for local recording.

So setting the buffer to zero allows the bitrate to change to whatever is needed to hit the quality specified. It won't record at 1000......

Sure. I did all you said, I got even shittier FPS in game and the footage is shit.

I do not want to fix my settings.
I never said I want that.
I want a solution to a problem that occurred after windows 10 NSA edition decided to update itself one morning.
I do not want anything else on this matter.
I worked on my settings for a LONG LONG time and I am happy with them
THANK YOU.

Install the latest version of OBS and see if that helps. You're two versions behind and one of the fixes in the latest version will likely fix your performance issues.

AGAIN, if the video is still bad quality, you did NOT set the local recording settings correctly.
Follow instructions instead of being so damn stubborn, and also do what Sapiens said, update to the latest version.
