Question / Help After OBS Update all Scenes Deleted?!

I just made a OBS Update and now i see that all my scenes are deleted i really dont want to create all my scenes with each update. is there a way to restore my old scenes?

Would be very nice if you can help me

If it happened it was unintentional. It does appear to be happening for some people, but not all -- not sure why that is yet. The scene collections stuff probably caused this to occur.

Problem is we never really saw it happen in the weeks it was in testing.

yes a friend of mine did the update too but he could select his scenes and all get restored. So you think i there is no way to restore it for me?

Mine stuck around - I did have to setup my Microphone from scratch though as it wouldn't input anymore.

i create all scenes new again but im not happy about it :/ i hope its fixed with next update

Can you guys check, is there still a scenes.xconfig in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\OBS ? (You can access it by typing %appdata%\OBS into your address bar) ?
If that file is still there, try copying it to the sceneCollection folder, maybe rename it before doing that.

I am so tired of this program. It has happened to me twice since I updated, This is so annoying and needs to be fixed.

One more good reason to keep backups of important data. So it can be re-imported if something goes wrong.

How do you do that?

You can regularly backup the folder %appdata%\OBS in which all scene collections and profiles are saved.
We would like to fix this problem but as you can see by the date of my first reply and the lack of further replies, without user input we cannot pinpoint why its happening in the first place.
