Question / Help After new 144hz monitor, OBS starts lagging currently playing video on other monitors

This is kind of an oddball situation.
My previous setup I used 2 27" 1080p BenQ monitors and 1 55" Samsung 4k TV (set to 1080p resolution) all running off a Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080 card with all 3 in DisplayPort ports.
I recently added an Acer Predator 27" 4k 144hz monitor to the mix, using one of the DisplayPorts and moving the TV to the single HDMI output, all other monitors in use too, so I'm up to 4 now.
OBS runs on my TV, that didn't change after the new monitor, just changing the primary to the Acer was all that happened.

After starting up OBS (the program, not streaming or recording), I noticed the current stream I was watching suddenly started stuttering and lagging badly, and within a few minutes I was a hundred seconds or more behind the stream, with constant dropping frames according to the Twitch stats widget. After closing OBS, all of this stopped and the video stream was solid again. This was just with OBS showing my ending scene with just an image being displayed, no game or monitor captures were active at the time.

I did try to swap the monitor back down to 1080p, but the issue persisted.

Would this maybe be related to a system running monitors at different refresh rates?
Perhaps it's an issue with OBS being run on the HDMI port TV while the others are on DisplayPort?

I'm going to test moving it over to a DisplayPort to see if that helps this evening, but wanted to see if anyone else had similar issues or could maybe provide some insight.

Much thanks!
