Hello, I contact you because I meet a trouble when I disables AERO I'm at 30fps and when I put my AERO 15 FPS.

At first I did my Temp research and I found the "problem", the loss of fps is when I add the chat on my website via stream capture region.

When I capture this disables the FPS goes back to 30fps.

Once I disable AERO and have no problem I can do what I want, except that I can not catch my acquisiton card, you can see through ...

I used google translation to convey to you my worries, I apologize for the language ^_^ "

And I made a video to show you the problem encountered, maybe you would understand me better :

You should post your log so we can get more information. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=97

Assuming you are on Windows 7, if you are using Window capture, Aero needs to be on. If you are using Monitor capture, Aero needs to be off.

EDIT: I just watched the video, and yes, it looks like you're using Monitor capture, which means Aero needs to be disabled. Furthermore, why are you capturing the capture card output using Monitor capture instead of adding the capture card into OBS directly and skipping Monitor capture altogether?

I think hes streaming PS3 with HDMI. Doing it that way is the only way to bypass HDCP. Everything that Dodgepong said is correct. Under Windows 8 this is not an issue.

When I put the capture card in OBS that it does not display anything.

This is on Xbox 360 so there is no protection HDMI, and I do not think windows 8 spent on this problem.

What kind of capture card is it? I assume it's an AVerMedia card since you're using ReCentral...which card?

That card should definitely work. It is probably the card that is best supported by OBS. Add it as a video capture device and it should show up.

I do not even know why we speak of the capture card.
Even if other things have stream is not transmitted with the data acquisition card there to even it concerns FPS.

Sorry, the capture card discussion was sort of a tangent. I was confused as to why you were capturing the content of your AVerMedia C985 with ReCentral instead of importing it directly into OBS, which would bypass the need to do Window/Monitor capture in the first place.

But regardless, you have to have Aero disabled with Monitor Capture, and Aero enabled with Window capture to avoid FPS drops like you were describing.

Yes that's right, I'm sorry not to be able to better communicate with you after my bad english language. But I think you understand the problem now. Thank you to you for helping me and working on a solution to this problem.

...Have you not read anything I've said?

If you want to use Monitor capture, keep Aero disabled. If you want to use Window capture, keep Aero enabled. There's no way of changing that...that's just the way screen capture works.

Right...because you're using Monitor capture when Aero is enabled.

Let me spell it out for you:

Monitor capture + Aero on = bad framerate
Monitor capture + Aero off = good framerate

Window capture + Aero on = good framerate
Window capture + Aero off = bad framerate

Monitor Capture and Window Capture are both options under Software Capture source properties. You choose one or the other.
