Question / Help Advanced Output mode not showing additional settings.

I am running a two - PC setup using an Avermedia Live Gamer HD capture card in my streaming PC. When I go into the settings under the Output tab and select the Advanced Mode, it does not show any additional options when I select my capture card as the device. And when I try to stream, it wont start. But everything works fine in Simple mode, except for the fact that I cannot select my capture card in simple mode. It doesn't show up for some reason. I have been doing some research on google and have not found anyone with the same issue. Unless I am not typing in the right thing. Could anyone help me get those options to show up so I can stream with decent quality? Any assistance would be appreciated. Right now I am forced to stream without being able to put the load on the capture card.

Do the options appear if you pick something other than the god-awful Avermedia encoder? (Please don't use that, ever, especially in a 2PC setup.)

That's the primary function of a capture card, yes. And especially in a 2PC setup you don't want to use a hardware encoder. The whole point is that you can dedicate the encoding PC's CPU to encoding with x264 for the best results.

Gotcha, so I was just being a derp. :) Thank you!

On that note, if I wanted to stream at my current resolution on my gaming PC at 2560x1080 I would have to upgrade my capture card correct? When I clone the monitor it forces 1920x1080 on both gaming PC and OBS.

Same issue but I have software encoder, I've been streaming through restream.io for 18 months daily - today I tested a link to a private facebook group which worked fine (should I make a separate profile for that?) when I tried putting everything back to restream - doesn't work. Reset and reconnected now Restream help would like to see my advanced output screen but only the simple will show
