Some software out there specifically hides certain options until an Advanced checkbox or something of the sort has been enabled. I was thinking -- maybe that's not such a bad idea for OBS? We do see quite a few people coming by here on the forums messing about with settings they barely understand and ending up ruining their stream and subsequently blaming the software for the problem.
I was thinking, maybe OBS should just start in an Idiot Proof kind of mode where it does not offer the ability to set a Custom Buffer Size or change the x264 CPU preset or anything of that sort. Just lets someone set their general Encode preferences, their Broadcasting Options, Video Options and then they're good to go without "accidentally" clicking on something they shouldn't have clicked on.
