Hi, I have a scarlett 2i2 4th gen interface with a boom mic and dynamic mic as left and right inputs. That connects to my mac which then shows up in OBS as intended. I'm trying to do what this video talks about - https://youtu.be/E1IN61KGWek?si=FGyQ2DUUPW4Nv4c- to basically have the "left" mic set to mono and then have the "right" set to mono as another device so I can have separate mic levels. But when I go to advanced audio properties, the balance is greyed out and doesn't allow me to change the balance to left or right. It lets me change to mono but without changing it left or right, I can't separate the audio inputs to their own channel.

Thanks for helping!

whether i uncheck mono or not it is still greyed out

I was struggling with this for quite awhile and then the thought occurred that maybe by Mackie 5 channel mixer was only a single channel thru USB. After I ruled that out, I starting digging into windows sound settings and found this little piece of #(&@. I was set to 1 channel DVD. When I set it to 2 channel, closed OBS and re-opened it, veola. L/R was working now.
