Is there a way to add IP cameras to the Device list. I see that people have done it, and I have 3 IP cameras on my network, but they do not show uo in the Device list.

You can use VLC media source for this. Add a playlist entry like this:

http://10.1.0.21:8080/picture.mjpg

(real ip, port and path depends on your specific IP camera, of course)
