Question / Help Adding another video adapter in settings?

Hello,

Basicly I have read everything there is to read about laptops and streaming issues...

Now my problem is as all others BLACK SCREEN.

This issue is caused by the fact that when I go into settings I can only select the

intel 4000 onboard graphic card.

"My main card is AMD RADEON 7970 "

Now when I swap my settings for OBS & the game to the inte 4000 one "save power" it records my screen monitor perfectly. (Other way arround IF you put everything on HIGH performance card it still wont show..)

But I don't want that because you cannot stream games as intended...

So basicly I want to know how it is possible to add your graphics card if needed manually to the obs software?

Look at the screen shot for more info. I tried the compatibility modus and every solution posted to date nothing works.

OBS 2.jpg

Thanks in advance!

Is there no way to do it? I see allot off threads not being responded to... I mean your OBS software does have the abilitiy to detect a card.. Can you not explain how it works please?

I would really like this to get resolved and this forum is the last chance I have..

This is generally not possible due to how AMD's drivers work on switchable graphics laptops. You're most likely stuck with using window capture.

Thank you for your honest approach. Sadly it is how it is, I hope there will be some sort off way in the future. I like streaming.
