about cost "Integer FPS Value"

Hello all. I was wondering about this:

The thing is that I want to stream games in higher fps than 60. To do this, of course, I go to settings - video - and choose integer fps value - set it to 165 (my monitor's RR) base res. 2k - scaled fullhd). and here's the question - does it affect the load of the system\cpu\gpu? does it reduce fps in the game itself?

I tried to find something about this on reddit, but the tracks were quite old, about 6 years ago.
I decided to find out the question here from experts, please help.

thank you!

It actually does, quite significantly compared to 60.

The games themselves are able to be above 60fps while you stream at 60, HOWEVER if you attempt to stream at an fps above 60, the streaming service may do one of a multitude of things, including but not limited to re-encoding down to 60fps, denying your stream quality options, or outright rejecting your stream.

Additionally, your viewers are VERY likely to not only not benefit from the increased framerate but actually get a worse viewing experience due to the increased system load to watch your stream for no additional visual frames (in order for your viewers to benefit from streams over 60fps, they need screens that have over 60hz refresh rates and a LOT of your viewers won't).

If you use encoder like NVENC, you can get 200-500 fps for 1080p only for encoding, but is for simple scene.
Now if you stream any game, your graphics is little busy and don't time for fast encoding.
