Hi everyone!
im going crazy.
i use a PC.
i want to stream on obs, a liveshow with ableton live 9.
I use the Focusrite Scarlett i2i, because i play the guitar, and is the only way to have "zero" latency.
I don't have monitors. i use the headphone (on the Scarlett i2i).

So, on Ableton i have selected "Focusrite USB audio". like everytime. and guitar, synhts..all is ok.
Then i open OBS. settings. audio. audio desktop (1) = i select "Focusrite USB (Focusrite USB Audio)".
No sound is coming.

What' s the problem? i spend on eday to ttry to resolve this.
Anyone have the solution?
thank you

In OBS advanced settings, select your Focusrite as the audio monitoring device

Create a Scene, call it Test
Create an audio output Source for the Scene. Select the focusrite. It will either be your headphones or speakers.
Create an audio input Source for the Scene. This will probably be your XLR mic #1

In the OBS mixer, click on one of the wheels for a source
Check to make sure advanced audio properties and monitoring is set correctly
- monitor off means to not hear through the audio monitoring device but capture to recording or stream
- monitor only (mute output) means to hear through the audio monitor but don't capture
- monitor ad output means to hear through audio monitor and to capture to recording or stream

hi thank you so much for the quick reply,
i try the exactly passages, but this doesn't work yet :(

I don't use microphone , i use guitar with normal jack cable into the scarlett.
But the problem is that OBS don't have sound signal from ableton software when i use my scarlett.

No sound is coming from Ableton (with ASIO/ Focusrite USB ASIO) to OBS.
i can listen sounds with my headphone connected to the scarlett i2i what im playing in ableton, but in OBS there is no audio signal.

When i use ableton without the focusrite scarlett i2i, with the driver asio4all, and the headphone on my laptop... OBS works perfectly, the audio is coming into the "Audio Desktop" channel.

So ableton is ok. but OBS have some problem to take sounds from ableton with the focusrite devices.
I don't understand what is the problem ... OBS give me the option to put the device "FOCUSRITE USB" everywhere..(in , out...)
Any other possible advices/solutions?
thank you all

it's a bit late but for the sake of other people googling and having similar issues ...
obs has no native capture of asio; this is the reason it is not working.
There is an asio plugin for obs (which I co-developed) but it captures inputs not outputs.
In order to capture the audio mixes of a daw, one needs virtual audio drivers; like Rearoute from reaper.
The mixes from reaper are routed to rearoute which can then be captured in obs with the asio plugin.

You need to set OBS to have a third source seperately for the interface. I have the same setup. You may also need to go into the sound settings of your computer and switch the audio drivers between the computer's onboard soundcard and that of the Scarlett.
