Question / Help Ability to stream AND record? At the same time?

I assume this is probably some hell on the system to achieve both at the same time, but I would like to ask. Is it at all possible to record the video that you are live streaming so you can keep a higher quality local version rather than downloading the stream from Twitch which has been compressed, and suffers other defects in quality. I would like to be able to stream and then edit/upload the stream to Youtube, but work with the highest quality footage possible. Typically live stream quality is not acceptable on Youtube.

Not in the current version of OBS, no. You can only keep a recording of the same quality as you are livestreaming. Unless you want to run a 2nd instance of OBS, but that requires extra encoding power (though it will in the next version of OBS as well, I guess, you'll just be able to do it in one instance of OBS)
