gtx 660ti is the best for the money. if u can go higher go with a 680. dont go with a 670 though the 660ti is soo much better for the money but if u can defs go with the 680

What's your processor?

My processor is an: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs)

upgrade that first, that is nowhere near enough to stream on, get at least a quad core i5

When streaming, your GPU is used to play the game, and is used to preprocess each frame to send to x264. Your CPU is what x264 uses to encode the video for streaming, and is definitely the bigger bottleneck when it comes to streaming.

You can use http://obsproject.com/estimator to get an idea of what you can handle with your current system, but understand that streaming is quite an expensive CPU operation.

wrong , its not worth buying a gtx 680 over the gtx 670 (just check some benchmarks, stats don't lie) . So its either a gtx 660ti or a gtx 670 or if you can afford it and want to waste money go for a Gtx Titan!

Currently the best bang for your buck is a Gtx 670 (unless you get a gtx 680 as a bargain for the same price).

But to be honest he should rather upgrade his cpu first (something like a 2600k , 3570k , 3770k is perfect)!

Yes. the Q6600 is not ideal for streaming.

CPU should be your only concern. As others have said, I recommend a minimum of Intel i5. Even the low-end Intel i5 will suffice; i5-3330 ($200) is the lowest, I believe, if price is a deciding factor.

A new motherboard should only cost you around $100-150 and new RAM, around $40-60.
